Welcome Market Vendors

The Town of Perryville's Farmers Market is located on the grounds of the Rodgers Tavern Museum at 259 Broad Street, Perryville, MD 21903, across from Lower Ferry Park.  Since 2013 the Market's goal is to bring fresh, local homegrown produce and homemade goods to the Town's residents and visitors.

The purpose of the Farmers Market is to provide a direct consumer outlet for many locally grown agricultural products, including non-produce items such as arts, crafts, baked goods and hand-made goods.  The Perryville Farmers Market is a "Producer Only Market" meaning products sold at the farmers market must be grown, produced, or made locally.

  3. Vendors will receive approval notification, payment information, and a copy of the Perryville Farmers Market Vendor Agreement by email​

Application Fees and Due Dates

Fees

Full Season (May thru October):

$189.00 for new vendor or $94.00 returning vendor

Occasional/Daily (per market day attended):

$25.00 for new vendor or $12.50 returning vendor plus a $20.00 one time application fee

Occasional/Daily vendors have the option to convert to a Full Season before the end of the market season on October 29, 2022.  Previously paid Occasional/Daily fees will be applied to the mount of the Full Season fee.  Vendor is required to pay the difference in full before the next market day.

All fees are non-refundable.  Failure to submit a completed application and pay all fees by their respective due dates will result in vendor being prohibited from selling at the Market until delinquent application and applicable fees are received by the Market Manager.

Due Dates

Vendor fees and application are due to the Market Manager no later than one (1) week prior to the Market day the Vendor desires to attend.

Market Rules and Regulations

To be eligible to offer items for sale at the Farmers Market, vendors must meet all applicable Federal, State of Maryland, Cecil County, and Town of Perryville health and safety requirements and pay all applicable fees.

Items for Sale:

Vendors may sell any of the following: homemade soap, wine, beer, and hard cider, fresh and unpackaged home-grown vegetables, fruits, nuts, and cut flowers; potted plants and herbs (annuals, biennials, perennials); dried flowers; and fresh, home-grown food products that are minimally processed and packaged in new containers by the vendor such as honey, other syrups, jellies, jams, preserves, persimmon pulp, dried spices and herbs, flour, cornmeal, un-popped popcorn, seeds, canned produce, cider and other pressed juices, dairy products, and vinegar.  Only products that have been organically grown by a vendor who is an certified organic farmer may be labelled as organic.  Artists are welcome.

Space Allocation and Size:

Seasonal vendors are assigned a stall yearly on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Daily/occasional vendors will be assigned remaining vendor stall spaces on a first-come, first-serve basis on market day.  Vendors are required to bring their own equipment to the Market.  No additional equipment will be provided by the Market.

Each stall space is approximately 10 feet by 15 feet.  Stalls are limited to two per vendor.

Enforcement of Rules:

Vendors must at all times conform to the rules and regulations set forth in the Perryville Farmers Market Vendor Agreement and associated Perryville Farmers Market Rules and Regulations.  the Rodgers Tavern Museum Director is designated through the Town of Perryville to oversee management and regulatory enforcement.

Application:

Vendors must pay all applicable fees to sell at the Market.  All fees are non-refundable.  The Vendor fees and application are due to the Market Manager no later than one (1) week prior to the market day the Vendor desires to attend.  Vendor fees are as follows:

  • Full Season: $189.00 new vendor or $94.00 returning vendor

  • Occasional/Daily per market day attended: $25.00 new vendor or $12.50 returning vendor, plus a $20.00 one-time application fee

Operating Regulations:​

  • All vendors are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and in a manner of good conduct.  Attracting attention to goods by hawking or crying out is prohibited.  Arguments, harassment of purchases/other vendors and profane language will not be allowed and may result in revocation of the Vendor's Farmers Market Agreement and right to sell at the Farmers Market.

  • Alcoholic beverages, weapons, and illegal/harmful substances are prohibited with the exception of alcohol beverages sold in original sealed containers.  No animals or pets, except Service Animals, are allowed in or around the Market.

  • No vendor shall have the right to sub-lease, sell, transfer or permit other usage of the vendor's assigned stall space to another vendor without the prior written approval of the Market Manager.

  • Vendor stalls must be kept neat, clean, and orderly.

  • All sales must be made only from within the stall space assigned and not from any other area

  • It is the vendor's responsibility to collect and remit to the State applicable sales tax.

  • If necessary, the Market Manager may relocate vendors.  Decisions on moving vendors is reserved for the Market Manager.

  • The Town of Perryville is not responsible for any accidents that may occur on the premises.  Vendors operate at their own risk.

  • The Town of Perryville is not responsible for any property left on the Market premises.

  • Defacing or damaging Town property by a vendor will result in the termination of the vendor's Perryville farmers Market Agreement and forfeiture of all fees.  Additionally, the Vendor may be subject to criminal prosecution.

  • Vendors may only sell those items specified in the submitted Perryville Farmers Market Application.  Prior approval is required from the Market Manager before adding additional saleable items.

  • Vendors must meet all applicable health regulations.
